Challenge Air for Kids and Friends Shares the Gift of Flight with Special Needs Children

Fly Day on October 7, 2017 at Atlanta Regional Falcon Field

Challenge Air for Kids and Friends, a national children’s nonprofit organization, is recruiting volunteers, pilots and special needs children, ages 7-21, for it’s “Fly Day” event.Challenge Air builds the self-esteem and confidence of children and youth with special needs through the experience of flight.

If you have a friend, a family member, a grandparent, or you are a parent of a child with special needs, you undoubtedly know the bigger challenges that life challenges you to overcome every day. There may be days where they might feel all alone in their struggle. Maybe they are so busy taking care of a child’s needs, in addition to the rest of the family, that they have not had the time to seek the encouragement that they need. Whether you know someone raising a child with various physical, developmental or emotional challenges, or you yourself are facing those challenges, we want to invite you to participate in an event where we hope you will find a few moments of joy and comfort with Challenge Air.

Challenge Air for Kids and Friends

Challenge Air for Kids and Friends is a Dallas-based children’s non-profit organization whose mission is to offer motivational, inspirational and life-changing experiences to children and youth with special needs through it’s unique aviation programs. Challenge Air hosts well-organized, community-driven programs, called Fly Days which bring together children with special needs, ground crew volunteers and volunteer pilots to provide the FREE gift of flight.

Atlanta Fly Day

We would like to invite you to be a partner with us for a very special Fly Day on Saturday, October 7, and help us and the community change the attitudes of “children with disabilities” into attitudes of “children with capabilities.”

The event will be hosted at Atlanta Regional Falcon Field from 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. It is free to children with special needs between the ages of 7-21 and provides various activities including a flight school, face painting, as well as arts and crafts.

You Have Influence

At a Challenge Air Fly Day you see where your time and money goes and feel the appreciation of the lives you help change. No one forgets who helped them in their time of need. The difference you make in the lives of children with special needs and their families is permanent. Help provide a fresh outlook on life as previous barriers are broken down.

Making a Difference

Making a difference starts with making an effort. Everyone has the opportunity to impact a child’s life. Donating is a sure way to not only hear, but see the difference. Event sponsorships are also available.
